Robert F. Evans Jr., AIA, NCARB has over 38 years of experience in the practice of architecture and has been with IPG since 1986 and President since 2002. When he is not busy with architecture, Rob can be found hanging out with family, working on old cars, or playing music with friends and sometimes longtime former band-mates of “Skannyardle”.

The IPG Team is comprised of knowledgeable professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional design services. Employee/Staff disciplines include, but not limited to: Administration, Aerial and Drone Photography, Architects, Intern Architects, BIM Specialists, CAD Technicians, Construction Managers/Administrators, Cost Engineers/Estimators, Project Managers, Interior Design, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Specification Writers, as well as High School and College Interns on the Drafting, Architecture, and or Interior Design education track.

Full Time Position - In Person (Hiring 1)

IPG, Incorporated is actively seeking a highly motivated Architect OR Project Manager for employment in Valdosta, Georgia. The IPG Office is approximately 20 miles north of the GA/FL state line and right off I-75. Valdosta is 2 hours from the beach; 1.5 hours from Tallahassee, FL; 2 hours from Jacksonville, FL; and 3 hours from the Atlanta Airport. Valdosta is located within Lowndes County and has much to offer. From Wild Adventures Theme Park where you and your family can ride roller coasters, play at the waterpark, and attend concerts; to Valdosta’s very own award-winning Brewery, Georgia Beer Company, which IPG helped design. Valdosta is home to Moody Air Force Base, Valdosta State University, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, and Georgia Military College. Lowndes County has choices for public, charter, independent, and private schools. Valdosta is also the host of the annual Azalea City Festival, and Hahira (a city 10 minutes north of the IPG office) hosts the annual Honeybee Festival. Both festivals include live music, arts and craft vendors, food, and much more! During the spring and summer months, you can go to a farmer’s market or go to one of the you-pick produce farms in the area to get fresh fruits and vegetables. Primary responsibilities will range from designing and specification writting to project management/construction administration with close interaction with clients and the A/E team. Other responsibilities will be dependent upon education, skill level, and experience of the candidate. The right candidate will have a professional demeanor, will be highly organized, skilled in drafting in AutoCAD and Revit, and be capable of thriving under pressure. Must be a self-starter and team player.

Education:

  • Licenses and Certifications:
  • Registered Architect preferred
  • The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Two or more years of related professional experience required
  • Assist in preparation of designs, sketches, schematic drawings, and final working drawings
  • Ability to write and edit specifications and have experience with codes, agencies and industry standards
  • Able to attend site visits when necessary
  • Ability to do research on other material options or alternate building methods to determine the best solution for the Client
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, detail oriented, highly organized and efficient with time
  • Ability to collaborate with others and communicate clearly in writing
  • Skills: Revit and AutoCAD required; SketchUp; Office Suite including Outlook email; Adobe Creative Suite preferred
