Rob has over 33 years of experience in the practice of architecture. Rob has been with IPG since 1986 and President since 2003. Rob is highly experienced in the design of educational facility projects including projects for the Technical College System of Georgia and the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. Rob has worked extensively on college/university campuses throughout the state. His work also includes major renovation projects including both interior and exterior renovations.

When he is not busy with architecture, Rob can be found hanging out with family, working on old cars, or playing music with friends and sometimes longtime former band-mates of “Skannyardle”.

Dean has practiced architecture continuously with full-service firms in Georgia and Texas since 1982. Dean has been with IPG since 1994. Since the late 1990’s, Dean has mentored nearly a dozen young interns. Throughout his professional career, he has drawn upon hands-on construction experience as well as strong design abilities to create attractive venues for clients. Dean has come to value the personalities encountered and the relationships developed through the practice of architecture. Utilizing a pragmatic approach to solving problems whether architecture related or otherwise.

Other interests include ongoing improvements to his family’s 95-year-old bungalow, serving on the Valdosta City Board of Education, and excursions to visit his children, always capturing a ‘bird’ picture to share with family.

IPG, Incorporated is actively seeking a highly motivated Architect for employment in Valdosta, Georgia. The IPG Office is approximately 20 miles north of the GA/FL state line and right off I-75. Valdosta is 2 hours from the beach; 1.5 hours from Tallahassee, FL; 2 hours from Jacksonville, FL; and 3 hours from the Atlanta Airport. Valdosta is located within Lowndes County and has much to offer. From the Wild Adventures Theme park where you and your family can ride rollercoasters, play at the waterpark, and attend concerts; to Valdosta’s very own Brewery, which IPG helped design. Valdosta is home to Moody Air Force Base, Valdosta State University, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, Georgia Military College. Lowndes County has choices for both public and private schools. Valdosta is also the host of the annual Azalea City Festival, and Hahira (a city 10 minutes north of the office) hosts the annual Honeybee Festival. Both festivals include live music, arts and craft vendors, food, and much more! During the spring and summer months you can go to a farmer’s market or go to one of the you-pick produce farms in the area to get fresh fruits and vegetables.     REQUIREMENTS:

    Education:
  • - Bachelor of Architecture degree is required.
  • - Master of Architecture degree is desired.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
  • - Registered Architect license required
  • - NCARB desired
  • The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • - Five or more years of related professional experience required
  • - Assist in preparation of designs, sketches, schematic drawings, and final working drawings
  • - Ability to write and edit specifications and have experience with codes, agencies and industry standards necessary
  • - Able to attend site visits when necessary
  • - Ability to do research on other material options or alternate building methods to determine the best solution for the Client
  • - Must be self-motivated, dependable, detail oriented, highly organized and efficient with time
  • - Ability to collaborate with others and communicate clearly in writing
  • - Skills: Revit and AutoCAD required; SketchUp; Office Suite including Outlook email; Adobe Creative Suite preferred; Lumion
