Coweta Charter Academy | Senoia, Georgia

 

DESCRIPTION:

The Coweta Charter Academy project involved the renovation and addition of the old Peachtree Baptist Church in Senoia, Georgia. The existing building was approximately 21,950 SF and called for a small addition to the Multi-Purpose Room and minor renovations to the existing serving kitchen. A new two story building was added with 17,233 SF on the first floor and 17,033 SF on the second floor. IPG provided design, construction documents, and construction administration for this $6.2 million project.

Valwood School | Valdosta, Georgia

 

DESCRIPTION:

IPG provided a master plan, design, and construction administration for Valwood School's new campus. Valwood is an independent school serving Grades Pre-K through 12. Located on a new 45 acre campus, construction of new facilities was set on an aggressive schedule with ground-breaking initiating in December 2001. New construction needed to be complete for the 2002-2003 school year to accommodate the school's scheduled move from their old campus. The new facility opened in August 2002. Elements of the new campus include: Lower School Facility, Middle School Facility, Upper School Facility, Sports Center, Administration/Library Building, Student Center & Cafeteria Building, and Fine Arts Center. IPG continues to serve Valwood as per the goals of the original master plan and various strategic opportunities.

 

CLIENT:

Pataula Charter Academy | Edison, Georgia

 

DESCRIPTION:

This project involves the design of a new 87,500 square foot Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade charter school for a student population of 600 students. The entire academy is focused on an Agricultural track of instruction. Design includes a competition gymnasium with adjacent dining hall, as well as outdoor facilities for football, track, baseball, and softball.

The new facility will be constructed behind the existing school with special care in the design to accommodate existing operations during construction.
