PROJECTS

CLIENT:

Fayette County Justice Center | Fayetteville, Georgia

DESCRIPTION:

This project includes a new Courthouse and Jail.  The three-story, 158,000 SF Courthouse features an open interior atrium the full height of the building.  Juvenile, Magistrate, and Probate Courtrooms are on the main floor. The second floor has two Superior and two State Courtrooms.  The third floor is planned for four additional courtrooms and includes office spaces. A single, public entry through the atrium allows access to courtrooms, offices, and public spaces, while a controlled side entrance for judges provides access to court support spaces without exposure to public circulation areas.  Inmate access from the Jail to the courthouse is via a secure, underground tunnel with elevator access from the tunnel directly to secure holding spaces. Holding spaces then connect directly to courtrooms, thus eliminating inmate contact with the public or judges.
